What is the Verdigre Public School Foundation?

It is a non-profit corporation set up solely for the betterment of the Verdigre School system. The formation and support of a Foundation for the Verdigre Public School will ensure the existence of a school in our small community in the future.

This corporation has been formed and organized for educational purposes and the assets of the Corporation shall be dedicated to this public purpose. The purpose of the Corporation shall be to seek and receive funds to promote quality education in theVerdigre Public Schools.

Why is the Verdigre Public School Foundation necessary?

The Foundation is necessary to maintain an excellent quality of education for our students. Generous donors may give a charitable gift to this entity which is recognized under federal tax laws.

Accepting contributions will benefit the school in a number of ways. Some of these include: providing scholarships, textbooks, computers, sports equipment, band equipment, and possibly even building new school rooms.

Gifts May be in the Form of:

Cash, in any amount (It's as easy as writing a check)
Valuable Personal Property, such as grain, works of art, stock securities or other assets
Contributions are tax deductible
All the above offer the contributor many opportunities for estate and tax planning
Your legal and financial advisor should be consulted to the current regulations and the best alternative to meet your needs, while at the same time supporting the school
